This course is a project-based service-learning course, with a focus on social and public responsibilities. It will be co-offered by the School's Undergraduate Program Office and external non-governmental organization (NGO) or students are encouraged to explore community projects with NGO on their own, under the supervision of the School's Undergraduate Programs Office. To deal with human interactions in a global setting, we need to equip ourselves with a spectrum of understanding and responses that go beyond our parochial mind-set. The course exposes students to issues outside the business field, providing an opportunity to explore relevant topics concerning their community, their world and themselves. - BMGB 301Innovation and Entrepreneurship3 Credit(s)DescriptionFor Year 3 GBUS students or Year 3 and above students in the Dual Degree program in Technology and Management or students with consent from the instructor. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for developing business opportunities based on various sources of innovation. The course will explore what innovation means and how important it is in a business and social context. Students will get a better understanding of how entrepreneurs play an important leadership role in both our society and economy.
